About Fact-Eco

Established in 1992, we've been Britain's trusted partner for quality DIY and repair tools for over three decades. Discover our story, values, and the expert team behind our success.

Our Story

The journey from a small workshop to Britain's trusted tool provider

Fact-Eco began as a small family-owned workshop in East London in 1992. Founded by Robert and Margaret Thompson, both experienced engineers with a passion for quality craftsmanship, the business initially focused on repairing and maintaining tools for local tradespeople.

As word spread about their expertise and dedication to quality service, the business gradually expanded to include tool sales. The Thompsons were determined to only stock tools that met their rigorous standards—tools they would be proud to use in their own projects.

By 2000, Fact-Eco had opened its first dedicated retail store in London, offering a carefully curated selection of DIY and professional-grade tools. The company's reputation for expert advice and quality products continued to grow, leading to expansion across Britain over the next decade.

Today, Fact-Eco is led by the second generation of the Thompson family, alongside a team of dedicated professionals who share the founders' commitment to quality, expertise, and exceptional customer service. While we've grown substantially since our humble beginnings, our core values remain unchanged: providing the best tools and advice to help our customers succeed in their projects, whether they're DIY enthusiasts or professional tradespeople.
